OUR STORY
The inception of Natralee Botany traces back to 2018, a pivotal year marked by my husband’s diagnosis of Glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. Fueled by a desire for his healing, I delved into extensive research, formulating DIY chemical-free deodorants and shea moisturizers for him and myself. Recognizing the need for comprehensive lifestyle changes, encompassing diet and skincare products, became evident, given that approximately 90 percent of commercially available products contain chemicals linked to various illnesses.
Amidst home-based work, a personal exploration commenced, involving classes to embrace a natural and healthier lifestyle aligned with divine principles. In late 2022, my journey led to creating additional products, utilizing exclusively natural, organic plant-based waxes, butter, carrier oils, and essential oils. Despite initial setbacks, I persisted, refining formulations, and seeking feedback from friends and family. The overwhelmingly positive response paved the way for the official establishment of Natralee Botany.

It serves as a platform for educating our community and encouraging informed choices about the products applied to the body’s largest organ—the skin. The term “Botany” underscores our commitment to utilizing top-quality herbs to infuse oils for our products, with some locally cultivated herbs. When we started creating our deodorant, we started with a clean slate – choosing only ingredients with a low safety risk according to the Environmental Working Group (EWG). EWG’s Skin Deep database scans products and their ingredient list against scientific research and toxicity, chemical hazards, and regulatory databases, and assigns a safety rating for each ingredient and the overall product. EWG rated our product and it shows up as green for low health and hazard risk in the Skin Deep database!
We intentionally avoided common irritating ingredients like baking soda, and focused instead on simple, clean ingredients – like coconut oil and minerals from the dead sea – that work together to reduce body odor.
It was also really important to us to not have synthetic fragrance, so we found high quality essential oils to give the deodorant an incredible scent. The result is an aluminum free, paraben free, clean deodorant that goes on silky smooth and keeps you odor free all day.
